Getting on each other’s nerves since 2006!

Hause & Havers - greeting cards, prints and other nonsense - evolved from a wee spark between Katie and Nick during lockdown. With both working in the marketing/creative sectors, it made sense to join forces and do something creative together but time was always the issue. Then lockdown hit (and it hit hard) and suddenly time was in abundance, and Hause & Havers was born.

We set up our wee Etsy shop a couple of weeks before Valentine’s Day 2021, and that was that. You’d think it was because we were full of romance and declaring our love for each other every two seconds. Sadly not. And, did we end up sending each other Valentine’s cards? No we did not…

Living in Edinburgh is very special. Nick has grown to love the Scottish language, whilst Katie grew up in Dundee so is well versed in the local dialect. Scots have a way of making the most banale words sound exciting, and somewhat rude. In what other language can you add an ‘ed onto any word and it means drunk (see jiggered, blootered, hammered, smashed, bladdered, steamboated… the list goes on).

So have a look around, learn some new words, and we hope there’s something that makes you smile. And give us a wee thumbs up on our Facebook and Instagram if you enjoy our havers and nonsense.

Yours Aye,

Katie and Nick
